Isaiah 55:11 - My Word Shall Prosper
Step 1: Pray. Select.
As I sat down for my time with the LORD today, I felt an overwhelming sense of joy. I wasn’t sure where the excitement was coming from, but the Holy Spirit prompted me to explore the feeling of standing in expectation and excitement when God speaks something into your heart, spirit, or soul, you can rest assured it will come to pass.
I began researching relevant scriptures on the theme and came across Isaiah 55:11. This is where the Holy Spirit wanted me to stop and meet with him today. Let's begin, friends.
Step 2: Write. Read. Circle
After reading the scripture three times, the following words stood out amongst the others:
Isaiah 55:11 - So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Step 3: Re-Write
With a focus on the words I circled that stood out, here is the personalized sentence that came alive in my heart.
Jennifer, My word from my mouth shall prosper for which I sent it.
If you are doing this alongside me today, add your name in front of your unique sentence so the Lord can speak directly to you.
Step 4: Visualize
I close my eyes and see a wind, or some type of cloud, come down from the sky, clearing everything in its path and striking the ground with such force that it splits the earth's foundation. I am shocked because it almost looks like some kind of wrath coming down from the sky to destroy everything in its path, but it's quite the contrary.
I stand there speechless, unsure of what will happen next. I hear some slight movement or stirring inside the crevice that was formed. I don't know whether to be alarmed, cautious, or concerned about what's growing inside. But out of curiosity, I move closer to the edge of the crevice and lean over it to take a look.
I begin to see what matches the crinkling and rustling sound coming from inside the crevice. It is vines. They are rapidly growing, twisting, and turning until they begin to reach the top of the Earth's surface. These are no ordinary vines. They were brought here by the divine breath of God, and they will find the light, no matter what. The Holy Spirit wants me to know that whatever the Lord speaks will find a way to prosper, no matter what circumstances it arrives under.
The Holy Spirit has me search for more verses that pertain to the breath of God when he speaks and how it will come to pass. There is an urgency that the Holy Spirit is tugging on me to believe that if God said it, He will do it!
As I searched for verses, Genesis 1:3, Psalm 33:6, and Psalm 33:9 immediately popped up.
Genesis 1:3 - And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
Psalms 33:6 - By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
Psalms 33:9 - For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.
I have a question for the Holy Spirit regarding the vision he has shown me, so I move to Step 5.
Step 5: Ask. Seek
The requests/questions that came to mind are:
Holy Spirit, is there a reason for the urgency to ensure I believe what the LORD says on this day?
Step 6: Hear. Write. Receive
Here is the answer I received:
“I don't want you to miss things that are to come. Run towards them. You have labored long. Now it is time for you to receive the blessings He has in store for you. Let joy overtake you so others may also witness and receive the good news that the Lord can do above what we exceedingly and abundantly are aware of. But you must understand, this is not of your doing. It is His doing. He has a mission. He has a purpose. He has a plan that you are a part of. Be excited. Be filled with glee. He has breathed upon your field and watered your seeds. Watch them sprout up. Witness His power. And most of all, thank the Lord with all your soul. Like the song, worship His holy name! Sing like never before, O my soul, I'll worship His holy name.”
Step 7: Pray. Confirm
Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of your Son, Jesus.
Thank you in advance for what will spring up in my life.
I can't wait to glorify and honor you for all you are doing and will continue to do in my life. Thank you for breathing life into my lungs and for placing the things you have placed along my path in my hands. I will stand by in expectation of watching you bring dry bones to life. You are the almighty and powerful LORD, in whom there is no other.
I lift you up, praise your name, and seal this prayer with the blood of Jesus. Amen.
